Duck Breast
Roasted golden beetroot, cavelo nero
Rosti potato and blackberry sauce sauce


Venison Fillet
Fondant potato, parsnip puree, kale and a rosemary & red wine sauce


Pan Roasted Cod
Pea puree, Fondant potato, flaked almond, roasted black garlic

Butternut Squash Risotto
Layered through a delicate herbed risotto, with dressed salad


Fillet of Beef
Sourced from Keith Wickett
Dauphinoise potato, wilted spinach & wild mushroom veloute


Seared Hake
Sourced from Looe. Filleted and Roasted
Parsley crushed potato, green beans, orange & curry cream sauce


Course 4-  Pre Dessert;

Orange Posset
with Cointeau creme fraiche

Banana & Pecan Tatin
Served with Chantilly cream.


Panna Cotta
Delicate vanilla pudding made from cream sourced from Lostwithiel
With shortbread, clotted cream, raspberry jelly and raspberries.


Sticky Toffee Pudding
Served with cinnamon ice cream

As our produce is purchased freshly each day, please be understanding if certain dishes are not available.

  Couch’s Great House Restaurant is situated in the quaint fishing village of Polperro Cornwall. Opened in 2004 in the heart of the village, under the direction of Richard McGeown (Executive Head Chef) who has drawn from his past experience of working with country’s most famous names.


  After honing his culinary skills under Gordon Ramsay, Marco Pierre White and Raymond Blanc, Couch’s has given a platform for Richard to express himself.

 In order to create a relaxing & enjoyable environment  for all guests. The Restaurant, with the exception of assistance dogs, does not permit dogs or children under the age of seven.
