London via Plymouth (approx 225 miles)
Leave London on the M4 and continue until J20, take the exit and merge onto M5 Westbound. Continue west and at Exeter take the signs to Plymouth bringing you onto the A38, at Plymouth cross the Tamar bridge and continue on A38 until roundabout signposted to Looe. Follow signs to Looe, pass through Looe and follow signs
to Polperro. Upon approaching Polperro, you will pass a petrol station on your left, before eventually (approximately 2 miles) descending down to the village. Upon your right hand side, you will find the main car park, for which you will need to park.
Take a walk down through the village passing The Cottage Bed & Breakfast on your right, as the road narrows, you will approach the Post Office on your left hand side, and the road will meander to the right, where you will find Couch's Great House Restaurant (PL13 2QT) on your right, handsome on the bridge on the riverside.
Pelynt (approx 2 miles)
When approaching from the A390 (either from Liskeard, the A30 or St Austell) pass through Pelynt heading south towards Looe and Polperro. Follow signs towards Polperro. You will pass a petrol station on your left, before eventually (approximately 2 miles) descending down to the village. Upon your right hand side, you will find the main car park, for which you will need to park.
London and South East (approx 350 miles)
There are many trains from Paddington to Liskeard throughout the day, passing through a wide variety of mainline stations on the way. It is possible to catch a mainline train that arrives in Liskeard in time to board the unique Looe Valley train to Looe, from where Couchs Great House is only a short taxi ride away. Taxi’s are available on the taxi rank just 5 minutes into town. The Looe Valley Line Train is well worth a ride taking you through the breathtakingly beautiful Looe valley.
